The FC Lezignan rugby union club was founded in 1903. For fourteen years the club played its home games in the grounds of the hospital. In 1919 FC Lezignan moved to the Stade du Moulin, the ground they play at today.
At the Stade du Moulin the club has recorded significant dates in its history in a series of large murals on a wall inside the ground
Lezignan competed in the French Rugby Union Championship for the first time in 1921.

In 1931 the Lezignan club was dissolved. It had been accused of playing its players and was threatened with a ban from the Championship.
